I'm proud of you for showering and reaching out for help here. There will be good days and bad days. Just know that whatever you need to feel is acceptable here. And you don't need to go into the details all at once. I'd love to be a part of your support system too, but i cant promise i'll always know what to say.

The more I see you post the more I'm reminded of Chanel Miller and want you to meet her.
Her memoir has been a major source of healing for me, as has been this community. The publicity and news articles make it feel so emotionless and impersonal. I couldn't pay attention to the news articles, especially since her assailant is from my hometown (technically, I've lived here ten years which is the longest I've lived in one state).

I used to wonder that. Then I let myself think about it. I talked to friends. I asked what lies I learned from it. I changed the ending, reassured myself I deserved to be saved. I imagined kid me being saved by my modern day heros, them wiping my face clean and hugging me and taking me to their parents' house for food. I painted and let myself think of the painting. It's still there. I still cry or get angry. IDK if I've ever gone a day without thinking about it. But it's different now. And I think that's enough for now. -
What kinda name for a tv show is "naked and afraid"???

I just wanted to leave a nice note here. I think of you every now and then when i think of this site. How its helped me. You may not feel it right now but you are stronger than anyone who has ever hurt you. And if you are a little tadpole darting around frantically, a goldfish in a plastic bag of water getting used to the temperature of the pond water, or a caterpillar putting on its dozens of shoes, those are all okay. 💜🌺🍀

Wow they start you early on languages! I bet Japanese is interesting. No not really triggered by French except for the odd thing my dad used to say. I learnt Spanish in high school then lived in Spain, and later taught myself Yiddish. That just erased my French - now every time I think I'm speaking French it turns out to be Spanish or Yiddish in a French accent lol!
