Hi everybody..

I'm new, I made a post already then saw this, oops.. umm I was recommended this site from somebody in a different website... I was drugged, raped, beaten and mugged a month before i turned 15, i thought i had pretty much recovered, and i always thought my old therapist's diagnosis of ptsd was wrong, but lately i've just been really really screwed up so i don't really know what's going on, probably the transition to college? i don't know, anyway... so yeah, hello.

Hi and welcome, this is the best place to get understand and support. I have only been here for about a week, but they have been very understanding. Even if we can't understand why we emotionally are doing what we are doing, we aren't alone. People at AS can relate. That is one thing that is so freeing. Welcome again.

I am so sorry that you were traumatized in that way at such a young age. I believe that a survivor is one that didn't die, or completely loose their mind and or spirit as a result of the trauma that we suffered. right after it happens our minds have enough to handle to cope with the immediate affects. Your therapist was just trying to make you aware that there was more healing to be done. You are very strong and courageous, you will not only survive this, but heal and be even stronger. This is a good place to be, the people are understanding, non judgemental, and not pushy at all. We are here when you need us. Take care and remember you are not alone...
