Hey Survivors- I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 40 year old survivor, wife and mom of two. My memories surfaced within the last year, after other family-related trauma. I have a wonderful therapist and am dealing. I'm grateful to being able to finally put together the puzzle that has been my life, :tealribbon: here with all of you.

Greetings again Survivors- after spending time on AS and growing to love a number of you cope with our assortment of oddly familar symptoms... I would just like to clarify my first original post. My symtoms did not surface AFTER family related trauma, they surfaced long ago... in bits and pieces like a puzzle.... all my life. Because my abuse began so young virtually everything is a trigger for me.. I'm 40 years old and could never understand why I was terrified of sharp objects, razor blades, straight pins, certain family members, freeways, bridges, shower curtains, baths, sleeping, fear of my kids being abused and molested.

Then after one big trauma in the family(a death) I was again thrust together with abusing family members which triggered immediately after the death of my dad. My dad told me to 'forget' about the abuse, so I 'put it away..' for a time and in lived complete denial and creating a "fantasy family"

Looking back now I can see why I've always had so many problems and problem people in my life, I'm now so glad to be freeeee!!!!
