Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. My survivor journey starte over 20 years ago when I was kidnapped off the street by a stranger, driven to an isolated junkyard, raped and left. I was 19 at the time of my ordeal. Unfortunately back then there just wasn't the support there is today. There is still a long way to go to reach out to others, but because of this my recovery didn't really begin until just about 2 years ago. I am not sure what I can contribute here, but I would love to share more with all of you as I continue my journey and at the same time offer support.

Welcome! Our stories have some similarity I too was abducted by a stranger, and held for 2 1/2 days and forced to do so many things against my will and had so many horrific things done to me. Mine happened 29 years ago and you are right there was no support back then. I am sure you have much to contribute and I look forward to hearing from you again!

Wow! After 23 years I finally feel like I am not in this alone!!! Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I read through your welcomes...All the support in the world from family and friends can help, of course, but to have contact with the only people who truly know what it's like to be a survivor is priceless...
