Hello Everyone...

Recommended Posts

I normally have a facade on so no one will see how broken that I am. But here sounds like a safe space so I will be leaning more towards healing from this ugly monster in my "Skeleton Closet" My name is Morgan, and I am 33 years old. I have two children (9) and (13). I'm originally from the Westcoast but currently live in the south. I work in the medical field and have been doing so for the last 4 years. After long consideration, I am reaching out through this forum to get support and be supported through such a vulnerable piece of our lives. My main reason for joining is to finally not let my limitations define me and hold me back from the things that can bring me and my family happiness and peace. I am just ready to move forward and have my mind be clear. If anyone has any recommendations or resources for finally tackling the monster in my closet... I'd love it as i  don't have a relationship with my mom and everyone else has passed away so i don't have any other women to turn to at all; probably why I feel so lost. Thanks for future welcomes and suggestions.

Hi FearofFlying/Morgan.

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very for the trauma you've endured, the struggles you have faced and the lack of support in dealing with both. You've come to the right place. This community is filled with understanding and supportive members. You are not alone.

Nobody ever really considers reaching out as a step, but it is. A huge step on this journey we are all on. Healing is made up of so many different kinds of steps and hopefully this will be only the first one you take with us. Take your time, tho. Look around and interact when and where it feels most comfortable to you.

Again, I am glad you have found us. Wishing you the best as you continue this journey.

Mary

Hello there Morgan!

I am Wanna, welcome on board :flowers:

We have many parents here. You can check out our Parenting and Pregnancy forum, if you'd like.

This is a safe place for all survivors, wherever they may be in their life and healing. You can vent, relate and exchange advice. You decide what and how much you share. If you have checked out our forum's index, you might have noticed that we discuss a wide span of topics here, anything from therapy and healing related to just plain life.

I hope you will find After Silence to be the community you needed. :notalone:

You can always throw me or any staff member a PM for a chat or questions.

Take care - W ☀️
