Hello, I am new here.  And man, do I need a place like this to voice and be heard what Ive been holding in and pushing down, these emotions for almost my whole life.  Thank you in advance if there are people here who might read / hear my story and bear witness... Im grateful.  This website simply existing is validating, off to a healthy start.  I volunteer to bear witness to other's stories, their pain and grief, and hopefully this will help all our trauma to flow away and disintegrate.  

And, I say 'hello healers' because I have come to deeply know that its not anyone outside of us that can heal us...  healing can only come from within the wounded soul.

@Karma1122 I’m sorry that you have had to endure the experiences that brought you here, but I am glad that you found AS.  There are many people here who will relate to what you have been through.

I agree with you, no one can give us healing, we have to want that ourselves first.  But all of our fellow travelers can help bear the load.

I'm sorry for the trauma you've experienced, but I'm glad you found the site and decided to join. You said it perfectly, we are all on our path toward healing and we are helping each other out along the way. Healing from trauma really is a group effort.

Hi @Karma1122 and welcome to the site. I am very sorry that you have to be here at all but as something of a fresh face myself I can say that the environment here has been very supportive and helpful to me in my process of healing as well. It's true that healing is something one can only do for themselves, but it is still nice to have people who will support you in that process.

I like your daughter's artwork. As far as your avatar goes, is that a picture of a bowl mended with the kintsukuroi method? I've always found things like that fascinating.
