I am new to AS and forums in general so there is a lot for me to learn. I found this forum by searching for support groups online for survivors. I am currently seeing a therapist and she suggested that it may be beneficial for me to find support groups that match my own history better. So that is the main reason I am here. I looked forward to participating more fully.

Welcome to AS.  I'm sorry for the trauma that brought you to this site, but I'm glad your T suggested joining a support group.  This is a safe space and you will not be judged here.  We are all here to support each other.  Take some time looking around the forums and post whenever you feel comfortable.  I hope you end up finding this site as helpful as I do.

Welcome to After Silence! I know it can be a little daunting to join a site like this and to start posting, but I promise you've come to a very supportive place and no one here is going to judge or look down on you You've already done a great job introducing yourself! 

My T was also the one that recommended this site to me and I'm so glad she did. I have met so many wonderful people here! It's an amazing community to be a part of.
