Just want to drop by and say hi. Not quite sure what to put here, since it's public and I can't seem to find the "Share Your Story" forum. (Link, anyone?)

A little background. I'm nearly 50, working in Information Technology and have been dealing with issues since I was in my early teens. I've been in therapy for a *long* time, but this is the first time I've tried engaging with something like a "support group." The vast majority of my past therapy has dealt with other issues, not specifically sexual ones (and, yes, I have lots of issues.) I'm hoping I can get help, and maybe even help someone else out...

BTW, "SpaceCadet" is a nickname I picked up in high school. I liked science fiction and computers, and was often "spaced out" in class, hence the moniker.

Welcome, @SpaceCadet I always liked that word.  But I'm sorry you needed to 'check out' as a kid, because of what you had to survive.  This is a supportive and friendly place.  Make yourself at home!

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for what you have gone thru, but you will tons of support here. Struggling gave you proper information and I see your post count is now above 10, so likely you have seen and possibly posted in that forum.
