Welcome! I am not sure who could have possibly said that to you. Anyone that has been through it knows that there are no rules to these types of issues. I think that if you look around the board you will see that many of us have been trying to "get over it" for many years. For me personally, it is worse now than ever. This is a wonderful group. We all have our own issues.....many of us have several. I think I am collecting them..lol. Take you time. I am sorry for what happened to you but glad that you are hear. Welcome. I am new and still nervous as well. I found that beginning reading others posts and trying to offer moral support helped and no matter where I go on here I read pieces of me. Hello and welcome. I am very sorry to hear that your are having an especially hard time and battling the ever returning coping mechanisms. Hello all! You certainly seem like a great bunch of souls. After much debating with myself I have finally made it here. It is time to heal. I am a 33 year old female survivor. I was sexually abused by a family member when I was young and I am beginning to wonder if I will ever find any sort of normalcy in my life..... so here I am searching.... hoping....praying. I feel a little crazy...please bear with me. There are many issues that I hope to find support with and I suppose in time I can disclose these issues and maybe someone can point me in the right direction...to the right board etc...
