                Warped and Twisted

     

    Harsh words and violent blows,

    Hidden secrets no one knows,

    Eyes are open hands are fisted,

    Deep inside I'm warped and twisted.

    On my knees alive but dead,

    I look at all the blood I've bled,

    I'm not gone, my mind has drifted,

    Look at me I'm warped and twisted.

    Burnt out, wasted, empty, and hollow

    Today was yesterday's old tomorrow,

    The sun dies out the ashes shifted,

    I'm still here still warped and twisted.

      Thank you, this is all very new but some life issues have pushed me for kindred spirits. Was very surprised at how many people have such similar situations. It helps to talk about mine.

      @4everme - it absolutely is a comfort to know we are not alone.  I'm sorry that not-so-pleasant circumstances have led you here, but do hope that being here will lead to peace, comfort and eventual healing.  You deserve it.  Thanks again for sharing your poem...it's very well written. :)  We are all here when you're ready to start talking about things - take all the time you need.
