HI...

Here I am. I'm new to the boards. Was raped over 18 years ago and still have a hard time with some things.

I hit the "share" button on the home page and sent this whole story thing through but don't see it anywhere? Maybe I'll post it under the "share your story".

Long story short, I am a SURVIVOR - I MADE IT through the hard times. I made it through the feeling of black hole you're falling through. I survived being raped at an innocent age of 16 and am now a 33 year old woman. Married to the man of my dreams; mother of two wonderul boys.

Part of my healing that's been missing has been to share with other people who have been through this. To offer HELP to any one who needs it - if there's anything I can do GOOD to help someone, it will turn a really big negative into a great positive.

God is good - He has helped me a lot. Counsellors are good - they have helped me a lot (I still see one once a week).

Please let me know this is a safe place to share...

Thank you for all the awesome welcome messages! I am still a little nervous about sharing, but feel much better about it after hearing some GREAT replies...

Taking my time getting to know the boards and when I can log in (i work a lot) so I'll be around, but might seem scarce.

If even one person benefits from my story, than it was worth the risk to tell it.
