Finally.. A Safe Place

hey all.. just wanted to express my thoughts.. im a 22 yr old survivor. i am o.k (well as much as i can be) with what has happened in my life. i am currently deployed to afghanistan for the army and this is this first safe place i have found to get away from this place. i was abused as a child for which the abuser was sent to prison. i dont remember exactly what happened but my family has always made it a point for me to know my past. ive never had an issue with it. than shortly after joining the military i was assaulted by a fellow soldier (if you can call him that). since the army believes my obligation to uncle sam is more important that my obligation to take care of myself, i was deployed with my unit less than a year after the incident. HE was kicked out of the military but nothing more. since on deployment, i have had no outlet. i am the type of person that deals with my own pain by helping others through theirs. somehow i help myself while trying to help others. i am a very independant person and often get referred to as wise beyond my years and older than my age. i have replied to a few topics and look forward to continuing to do so. anywho.. just wanted to introduce myself a little.. happy healing to us all

Yep that sounds like the army!!! A very good friend of mine is over there too. I am sure you will have a wonderful place to be heard on here.

hahaha.. yes the camel spiders are huge.. last thursday i caught one and now its dead in my buddies freezer.. its about the size of a grapefruit................thanks
