Hello, my name is Ashley and I just joined.

Glad to know there are places like this on the web as I am 27 and just now coming to terms with the fact that I was sexually abused as a child (denial is powerful) as well as physically and emotionally. I didn't start therapy until last year, so I had a lot of layers to peel away-still do.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Glad you found this place. I understand your comment about denial. I too started to deal with sexual abuse at about 28 after denying this for many years. I am glad you have found a therapist.

In answer to your question - it will get easier. It takes time, and it's slow, but it will happen. Just keep on going.
