One of my friends favorite things to say when things are absoluley out of control or just to be funny is "Is this real life!". I often wonder if it is. Sometimes I get lost in my thoughts and memories and wonder IS this real life? Well it may not be the reality I want to face, but after two years of being silent and not seeking help, I am tired of living a life of feeling in between two worlds. The perfect world I have made in my head and want to live and the one that sits deep in my heart full of anger and disgust...a world I feel like I will never escape. Although I have shared my story before to those I love and trust, no one can fully understand how I'm feeling because they have not been there. I am hoping that this website will help me to face the dark world and fight to live in a world where joy exists again! Thanks ahead of time for taking the time to read this.

I do believe in my heart that we can all get through the dark times if we can see that by facing and feeling what has been done to us that the light will begin to shine through and the healing begins. We can't get through the dark tunnel and get to the other side if we don't first go through the feelings and the pain. No one has to be there alone and the support we get is from each other.

I have sought out all sorts of help. But when I tell my story it's hard for me to connect to the pains and emotions of my attack. It's more like I am just telling a story about a movie I watched or something. It's when I am alone where the emotions overtake me and I feel like I can't escape them.
