hey everyone..

I've Flicka.. 22 years old.. been dealing with my father's emotional abuse since I was about 14 years old.. [currently still dealing with it.. working at saving money and getting my own place] I've suffered from depression since I was 17. Last summer my [then] boyfriend raped me on 2 seperate occasions. I'm an ex cutter [it's the one good thing he did for me was to "cure" me of that - while the desire hits every once in a while still, it's never strong enough to make me do it].. so um hello

My name is Lynn, and I am a member of the New Member Support Team. I just wanted to take the time to say welcome to After Silence. I am so sorry for what you have been through. I too dealt with emotional abuse from about 10 until I finally married at the age of 27. Those scars run deep, but those that occurred during my assault changed me in a completely different way. Being here has helped me not feel so isolated as I have worked on all of this in counseling, and I know that you will find love and support here too.

I hope that you find comfort and support here, and I definitely know that you will find others who understand you here. I am glad that you have joined with us and look forward to getting to know you. If you need anything or have questions about the boards or how something works, please send me a personal message.
