Hi, my name is CJ. Konichiwa is Japanese for Hello. I am self-learning Japanese but so far I have only memorized enough to really piss someone off

So, in case you haven't figured it out yet, I am a total clown. I like to joke around a lot but as I am sure you also know there are a lot of layers which I will talk about when I tell my story.

Basics though, 42, divorced, upper midwest. Single mom 1 daughter, survivor of childhood multiple (understatement) abuse.

It's great to have you with us, and I am glad you have found us and joined this community. There's a lot of understanding, care, validation and support here, so please feel free to browse around and get to know us a bit. You are not alone, hun.

Both serious posts and fun times are shared here.... Laughter can be a good tool at times, and can really lift your spirit some, so being a clown isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's lots of fun here too, besides uncovering the layers that had you join here in the first place.

I am sorry for what you went through as a child, and I hope that sharing some of that pain here will at least end the loneliness, and give you the support you deserve.

I am so glad that you come here for some healing, this is such a great community, and we are always good for a laugh too

Hi CJ,

I just read your profile, and I gotta say, it's the best profile I've ever read. But I have to admit, the reason I think so is heavily biased. We have a lot in common. I've felt the same way for much of my life, am also from the upper midwest (holla!), am an artist, and love to laugh/joke around. Oh, and I was also born in 1909-ish ;) I'm looking forward to getting to know you, and will hopefully see you around the boards and in chat when you're ready. Take care, and welcome to AS.
