I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Kim and I was raped by 2 strangers approximately 2 years ago. I have Post Traumatic Syndrome as a result of not telling anyone until about 6 months ago. I am seeing a Therapist weekly and working through the emotions associated with the rape. I still blame myself a lot of the time. I have good days and bad days. Sometimes the Flashbacks are so real that I want to just curl up in the bed and stay (and sometimes I do). But most days I am able to function. I try to make myself get up, put on makeup and clothes and fix my hair. I am on Long Term Disability from my job for numerous health problems - that I won't bore you with. I discovered this site a few days ago and am excited and honored to be a part of such a supportive group!
