Hi Nicole. It's very nice to meet you. I understand that you still love your mother. My father was not physically abusive to me, but he has been verbally abusive and very blaming toward me about being raped. I still love him, I just protect myself from him by not talking to him about the important things in my life. I still talk to him, but we chit chat. Even though you have had to sever ties with your family to protect yourself does not mean you stop loving them. I am glad that you found this forum and I hope to get to know you better. Lynz
