Well, I'm not sure where to start, but I was raped by a friend of a roommate's last year. I didn't tell anyone except my brother and a few strangers on the internet. Lately, I've been talking about it and I'm thinking about telling my mom what happened. I think it would help her understand me better. I'm just so nervous and ashamed about what happened. Anyway, I found this website and messageboard while looking for advice telling a family member.
