Another Newbie

My name is Rachael, I'm a 22 year old from the Deep South of New Zealand, and its winter here right now. I'm the mother of a little boy who is nearly 3.

I was emotionally, physically and sexually abused by my parents (my mother is BPD and bi-polar refusing meds and was sadistically abusive). I was also raped by two young men when I was 6, molested by my fathers friend at 9 and gang raped at 17. At the beginning of last year I was attacked by a man in the street but managed to drive him off. He is now being hunted as a serial rapist.

I'm not the luckiest but I'm trying to create my own luck now. I'm halfway through my social work degree and work in sexual health at the moment. I also run my own wee business as a music promotor.

I do have a background as a prostitute, and I'm bisexual. I'm not ashamed of it either. Some call me a little weird, and thats ok.

I'm diagnosed with panic disorder and PTSD. I've been under the same therapist (male) for 4 years and he's wonderful. I'm on Paxil.

Hi Rachael! Welcome to AS! I take it Dante is your son's name? Awesome name I also have PTSD and am bipolar (as is my Mom, who emotionally/physically/psychologically and verbally abused me as well). I'm currently on Effexor or something like that, LOL!!

And we're all a little weird, it's what makes us wonderful!!
