I'm New And Computer Illiterate

Recommended Posts

I am really struggling. My throat hurts because of the big lump in it. Tears are constantly clouding my eyes. I do not know why at the age of fifty the incest and child pornography hurt so much

Hi and welcome to AS

I am not far behind in the age race - I have been told that until the past is dealt with it will continue to be there in such an awful way.

I am trying to deal with - I just don't seem to know how at the moment!

And no worries about being a computer novice - if you have any questions just post and you will get heaps of help

best wishes

karen

Welcome to AS, there are a few of us who are over the 40 barrier, so I hope that helps you feel less alone, as well as that I know I was hardly computer minded when I joined but I knew/know that if I have a problem I could/can always ask and not feel embarrassed by the simplest things.

Hi,

My name is Lynn, and I am a member of the New Member Support Team. I just wanted to take the time to say welcome to After Silence. I am so sorry for these terrible memories that are tormenting you.

I hope that you find comfort and support here. I know that I have found the strength to face another day many times through the words and presence of those dear ones who make this site a true "community." I am glad that you have joined with us and look forward to getting to know you. If you need anything or have questions about the boards or how something works, please send me a personal message. I will gladly help in any way possible...also if you need someone to listen, let me know.

Take care,

Your Sister in Survival,

Lynn

Hi, and welcome.

I am going to be 40 in a few days, and I've only recently really started dealing with the things that happened to me. I don't think it matters when it happened...when it hurts it hurts. I had never posted anything anywhere before I got to this site...so don't feel badly about being new at this stuff. Like everyone has said, just ask and somebody will help. Never worry about asking.

:flowers: Thank you everyone for your warmth and kindness. I am determined to beat this thing and I will learn the computer. I would like an image by my name. Can anyone tell me where I can find an avatar. I looked at the ones available on site but did not really find one I felt suited me. Anyway, THANKS!!!!!

Andrea

I am really sorry for the things that led you here but I am glad that you found your way to AS. Take your time and look around; I am sure that you will be feeling comfortable and at home in no time. There are some great people here who will offer you the support and encouragement you are looking for and deserve. I look forward to seeing you around the boards. Take good care of yourself, ok?
