I'm new here. First post.

I survived childhood incest... step grandfather, aged 10.

Nothing after that... happily married, kids, grandchildren.

Recently, date rape... after I got away from them and the police found me out on a road they thought *I* was a troublemaker and pretty well assaulted me, cuffing me and physically constraining me until they figured out that I had been drugged... it was like being attacked twice in one night. I'm finding right now that the way the police treated me is as terrifying as the date rape.

That was 2 weeks ago. I'm 48.

I have a quick question... I have been on so many websites these past few days... I read a quote that jumped out at me, and now I am having trouble finding it again. It was a quote from the movie The Accused... something to the effect of "I heard a scream and the voice was mine"... does anyone have the quote? It is hitting me hard... that is what I experienced. I'm still hearing myself.

I looked it up and the only bit of it I could find was. I heard somebody screaming and it was me. The other quote I found was, The first scream was for help, the second is for justice.
