My Very First Post.

hello this is my first post. i am 38 yrs old. have lived in silence from a long term molestation for over 30 yrs and silent from a rape for 28 years. There is even more than that, but I will get to that another time. i am glad to have found an active website of this forum. My life is in turmoil right now as I began therapy 6 months ago and broke my silence and told my story to a very kind, wonderful therapist. i have been through a total mental breakdown, several suicide attempts and numerous medication trials. i am finally on less shakey ground. i still wallow in shame, guilt and doubt but i keep trudging. someday, maybe, i'll be happy.

Regarding you ever being happy again, well, I've noticed that since I've joined here (a few days, now) I actually woke up with an almost smile on my face! I felt relaxed and hardly any negative thoughts about what happened. The people here are great. I know the same will happen for you.
