Hi Everyone

Recommended Posts

Hi...I'm kinda nervous posting here but I need some support.

Have been sexually abused for many years by a relative. :(

I am twenty one years old and a mommy to eleven month old girl. :) I am also a wife to a US Marine.

I used to go to therapy when I was living in chicago (hometown) but had to end when we moved here to CA due to the military. I have just called this therapist after keeping in touch by updating her through emails and am in process of setting up a phone session for next week as I feel I need to talk to someone right now.

I wasnt ready for the two years I saw this therapist to really open up about the abuse although she knew I was hurt and knew some details of the severity and stuff. But now I am ready to speak out and need to and am far away from her. I know....get a new therapist, right? Not that easy as I finally trusted her enough and stuff. Took me two years to get real comfy with her  and then we move :duh: !

Sucks but I am trying my best here. Ive been doing good but its hit me like a ton of bricks today for some reason. The pain inside was intolerable it seemed. I get angry at myself because I dont feel I deserve to feel badly when my life right now is good, but it is hard to forget what happened. But my life NOW is wonderful and I do fine a lot of the time...too busy running around after my baby to think LOL...but at night it gets hard sometimes with nightmares. And my hubby is totally supportive although he just doesnt know what to do or say at times...which is understandable I think.

Ok....I need to shut up and end this.....LOL. I could go on forever I think...I really need a place to be able to come to at my bad times with this stuff. Thanks for being here! :P

This is the place to find the support you are looking for.

Glad you have someone that is supportive. I can understand that secondaries sometimes don't know how to act around us - so I'm really glad that you felt comfortable enough to reach out to other surivovors. It has meant so much to me personally and I wish you only the best for the future.

Lots of love

Welcome to this wonderful, supportive message board. I hope you find yourself at home while here and you don't have to be alone in this anymore. It's great that you have such a supportive husband, but unless they've gone through it themselves, I don't think they could possibly fully understand.

Welcome to AS. You know, sometimes when things are going well in our lives is when we feel strong enough to work on the abuse stuff. We're here to support you through that.
