Kitsch17
I’m glad I found this site and hopeful about it. Although I have the support of my husband and therapist, I’m still holding a lot and it really weighs me down sometimes, now especially. Looking forward to engaging with the community here. MeBeMary
Hi Kitsch17 and welcome. I am very sorry for the reasons that lead you here. What happened to you was unfair and undeserved. You have found a community with many understanding and kind members. You are not alone. As one can never have too much support, I am glad you found us. Both your husband and your T offer one type of support, and other survivors can offer you another type. One where we can relate, we don't judge but will encourage and help lift you up. Take your time to look around and interact where you feel comfortable. I wish you the best as you move forward on this path we call healing. Mary Link to post

Hey there and welcome to After Silence, you can call me Wanna Your husband's support is important, as our spouses/partners have a significant impact on our daily life and self view. There is, however, nothing wrong with seeking additional support in a community, where you can bond with fellow survivors. Sometimes, we need someone with similar experiences to listen, so I hope this community will make you feel heard and seen they way you crave (and deserve). Just let me know if you'd need anything to get started. Our site is a bit retro in its concept, so feel free to throw me a PM with any questions or just for a little chat. Wishing you the very best upon your healing. Recovery is a rocky road, seldom linear, but you are not alone. We believe you. All best W Edited September 10 by WannaMoveOn Link to post

missfrier
Dear kitsch Welcome to After Silence!! I'm sorry for what you have been through. I find it is easier to talk on forums then out loud. Being here has helped me so much, even from the first time I ever posted. It is still helping me - I have so much support here and I know you will, as well. Here at AS, we are like a big family and our members are kind and non-judgemental. I am sending you lots of safe hugs! Take care! Link to post
