Kaff
I am kinda new here...created an account about 4 yrs ago, posted a couple of things and got no real response so didnt come back. I have recently been through a major depressive episode, several failed suicide attempts and termination of my government support to access therapeutic support. I am incredibly isolated, with major supports retiring and little or no trust to start the cycle again. I have never been one for group therapy but i need to challenge myself and find a new safety network so i am here looking for advice on how After Silence can help and how I can get get the most out of the forum. HELP me find an appropriate connection here to give me a glimmer of hope. Edited May 16 by Kaff Link to post

Depression can be hard, I have been there many times, it's hard to see a light at the end of the dark tunnel. Link to post
MeBeMary
Hi Kaff and welcome back. I am sorry you didn't get more responses when you were here the first time. It can be very difficult feeling you are not heard. You are worthy enough to be heard. It sounds that you've gone thru a lot recently and I'm glad you are giving the site another chance. I hope you find it helpful this time around. Do know that there are others who understand and are willing to support you. Interacting can be difficult yet be the best way to connect to others. I'm glad you did find your way back here just not by the unfortunate difficulties you are going thru. I do wish you the best on forward steps in healing. You deserve the best that life can give you. The shame and blame are on the perpetrator. When I first got to AS I only read posts and also left many times. I used to keep forgetting my PW and the site all together and then suddenly would remember. The moderators were wonderful and always helped me get back in. This site has been great for me as I don't have to explain too much for other survivors to get it. Also I have learned from others peoples' experiences. Keeping you company during this part of your journey Link to post
