Hi to all. I’m new to this site and I’m here to find support outside therapy, with real survivors who understand! My hobbies (when I can concentrate now) include reading, art, going to concerts (a big trigger now unfortunately) and hanging with the family. I also love ballet, opera and theatre.
This community seems so positive and uplifting. I hope to get to know you and gain valuable insights here.

:hi: Hello Pixie,

Welcome to AfterSilence (AS).  It sounds like you have a lot of fun and interesting hobbies!  I'm sorry that something awful happened to you but I'm glad that you found our website and have joined our community.  I hope you will find the kind support you deserve here from other survivors and that reading the stories of other members here might inspire you on your own walk of healing.

Hey there Pink_pixie78 and welcome to AS! You can call me Wanna :flowers:

Theater and concerts are also something that makes my heart sing. I was actually a poet/drama kid back in high school.

Finding a community outside of therapy is a very good idea, since many survivors tend to feel isolated and alone with their experiences from time to time. Having access to a group of people, who have walked that mile too, is helpful in many ways. Please know that we believe you :notalone:

You decide what to share and when, how often you sign in and how you'd prefer to use this forum. Everyone has their own pace, when it comes to healing, and whatever lies ahead, you are not alone.

Please feel free to PM me if you'd have questions, need assistance or a little chat/vent.

All best, W :sun2:
