Hi everyone my name is April and l am new to this site, so please help me to get around and get to know you all. My hobbies are Reading and Art and l like going to rock concerts. 🤘☺️.l am looking for long term support and encouragement and l am open to suggestions.my favorite quote is Do not go gentle into the night by Dillon Thomas . This beautiful quote,as always given me strengh, plus l would like to know,what gives you strengh or something to hold on to

I'm sorry for what you have been through. I find it is easier to talk on forums then out loud. Being here has helped me so much, even from the first time I ever posted. It is still helping me - I have so much support here and I know you will, as well. Here at AS, we are like a big family and our members are kind and non-judgemental.

What keeps me going.  Is. My little. Job and. My family

Hi April and welcome.

I am very sorry for the trauma you endured and the struggles you have faced. You have found a supportive group with many understanding members. You are not alone. 

I would suggest taking it at your own pace. Read or respond to others and when you feel ready post or share what you are comfortable in sharing. Everyone is at a different point of the healing road...but the important thing is we are on that road.

It's a powerful quote. I'm glad it's one you can relate to and feel empowered by. What gives me strength is being able to give back and to also pay it forward. Oh, and my furbaby, Shyla. She is my true unconditional companion. She always makes me feel loved and needed.

I'm glad you decided to reach out. I wish you well as you continue down the path of healing.
