Yarnable
Hi there, I am in a small town in Idaho, and my therapist recommended that I try to find forums and online communities because I have been more open to the idea lately. I am female, 30 years old, married, and a lifelong introvert trying to be a little more social. I don't know how much I'll post at first, but I am going to try to be active at least once a month or more. Not really sure what else to say Link to post
MeBeMary
Hi Yarnable and welcome! I am very sorry for what you've gone thru, but you have found a supportive community that really understands...if not by the same type of trauma, then by the struggles we survivors face in its aftermath. It's a safe, welcoming and healing place to be. There is no pressure to share or interact more than you are comfortable with. We go by one pace here and that is one's own individual pace. We are just glad you decided to reach out. Personally, I've been a lifelong introvert myself, so know the difficulties of trusting and socializing with others. I have found that I feel more free on here to do so. I think the knowledge of knowing that I have the control to share and be myself on my terms help. I'm not trying to live up to anyone's expectations so there is more of an ease about being here. If I sound a little bias to this community, I do admit it. It came into my life exactly when I needed it and I will forever be grateful for that! I am glad you decided to reach out. Mary Link to post
