edenbeta
Hello I've been a survivor for almost 3 years now. But this is my first time on this site. I felt really lonely in my experience and there isn't people I can talk to IRL about it. So I wanted to see if maybe this site would help a little. A little about me is that I am an Art student, My passion is comic books/graphic novels/manga. and bunnies are my favorite animal Link to post
Finchy
Hello and welcome to AS @edenbeta! I'm so sorry for what you've been through, but I'm glad you found your way here. You won't be lonely anymore. We're all here for you. Take your time exploring. I used to love reading manga! I haven't read any in ages though, but that's very cool you like it. Take care and best wishes on your healing journey! -Finchy Link to post
MeBeMary
Hi edenbeta. Welcome to AfterSilence. I am so sorry for the trauma you endured three years ago. It was unfair and undeserved. You have found a supportive site with many understanding and kind people. You are not alone. It's wonderful you have art and I'm sure it's a good outlet for you. I think everyone should have an outlet and if that is something that will one day end up a career, all the better! Bunnies are your favorite animal? I can't argue that, as I love all animals! Do you have any? If you do, I am sure they are a comfort! I'm glad you found your way here. Take your time and look around and interact where and when you feel ready to do so. I wish you many steps forward on this path we call healing! Mary Link to post

missfrier
Dear edenbeter Welcome to After Silence!! I'm sorry for what you have been through. I find it is easier to talk on forums then out loud. Being here has helped me so much, even from the first time I ever posted. It is still helping me - I have so much support here and I know you will, as well. Here at AS, we are like a big family and our members are kind and non-judgemental. I am Wanna Many survivors feel isolated in their situation, and the mix of doubt and self-blame can be devastating at times. I believe all survivors should be offered a safe spot like this one, where you can just let it all out. You are invited to share what you'd like to, vent and take part in other survivor's stories. Sometimes, we just need to know we are not alone. Although our stories are unique, we tend to relate to one another here. Please know that we believe you. You have nothing to be embarrassed about, and I am sincerely sorry that somebody put you in this pain. You are not alone! We actually have a forum here where you can share your art: https://www.aftersilence.org/forum/index.php?/forum/3-healing-through-creativity/ Plenty of our members are huge animal lovers. I do not have a pet of my own, but I love baby sitting other people's dogs. You are welcome to contact me through PM for questions, assistance or a little chat. I'd be happy to help Take care, W Link to post
Rebecca455
@edenbeta I am new on here too 😊 although my SA happened 15 years ago, I completely blocked it out until 2 years ago when I was triggered and everything came back to me. Bunnies are my favourite animal too - growing up I had an indoor rabbit who was completely house trained and followed me everywhere! Good luck on your healing journey. Link to post
