dinopup
hi everyone! you can call me dinopup or just pup for short - surely you'll never guess what my favorite animals are, haha. i'm transmasc living in the usa, and am currently on my fourth attempt at a college degree. i love all things film, and i hope to be able to produce my own someday. i've suspected something happened to me since i was a preteen, but it wasn't until recently that i've started to remember it. even when i have a flashback, my head still feels so full of doubt, and i can't trust what i've recalled to be true. i tell myself that i'm making it up somehow, or that these things just couldn't have happened - even though i know i wouldn't be experiencing such intense experiences otherwise. i'd like to be able to move past the denial so i can really begin to accept what happened and work towards healing, but i find myself unsure where to begin. i hope that by talking with other people like myself, i can begin to understand that i'm not alone, and that it's okay to admit these things happened. i'm looking forward to meeting everyone and being a part of this community, thank you so much for having me here! i'm looking forward to learning and growing alongside you all. - pup! 🐾 Link to post
WannaMoveOn
Hello dinopup(such a cute name!) and welcome to or community! I am Wanna I am so glad you've decided to take your flashbacks seriously. Joining a community with survivors like yourself is a great way to start your healing journey, because although we all carry our unique stories, we tend to relate to one another here. I believe that every survivor has something to share, that can make a change for someone else. All of us have had our ups and downs, and knowing someone has had a similar experience and made it through, can be very encouraging when you find yourself stuck in the same place. You decide what to share and when. Aside from trauma-related topics, you can talk about generally anything here; What's on your mind, what worries you, makes you happy, life changes etc. If you'd had a chance to look at our forum's index, you might have noticed that this site carries a wide range of forums. 4 hours ago, dinopup said: even when i have a flashback, my head still feels so full of doubt, and i can't trust what i've recalled to be true. 4 hours ago, dinopup said: i'd like to be able to move past the denial These are universal experiences for survivors, I think we all have been second guessing ourselves, and moving past denial is a step-by-step process.
