My name is Vincent, I'm 37 from Netherlands, I'm a queer full time dad of 1.

Eventho I barely have any memories from before I was 10,im pretty confident I belong here. 

I am safe, I am well and yet so indredibly lonely/ alone. 

I'd love to meet new people or maybe even make a friend if that's possible.

I am so sorry for the things you experienced that brought you here. Many of us, myself included, started with only scattered memories. Please know that we believe you. 

Living with these things in our histories can feel very isolating. One of the things I have found comfort in our AS community through is realizing there are people who may not have experienced exactly what I did, but they understand where I have been. I hope that, as you spend some time here, reading and getting to know us, you will find that comfort, too.

Hi Rhodimus/Vincent.

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry for what you've been thru and the struggles you have faced. What happened to you, even if memories are slight, was wrong and unfair. Many times, especially when we are young, our minds do whatever it needs to do in order to survive. Altho I am not glad that anything has happened to you, I am glad that you have the confidence to acknowledge something traumatic did happen. It often takes a long time for us to get to that place and it's often a misconception that if you don't remember, it didn't happen. There are often other signs and conditions that can't be explained away in other ways. I am sorry this is something you went thru. 

You have found a supportive community with many understanding people who will only extend kindness and validation. Do know you are not alone.

Take your time and look around. I wish you many forward steps on the path of healing.
