New to AS

Hello,

This is my first time posting, so I hope I'm doing it right! I'm a survivor, and I live in California. I'm 55, and I'm a freelance editor as well as an English teacher, and I love grammar!

My current life situation is isolated, so I'm hoping to find some understanding people with whom I can communicate and share things. This seems like such a supportive community, so I thought I'd take a chance here. I look forward to getting to know you!

Yes you're doing it right!  You sound like you have a lot of wonderful interests!

I'm sorry that you have reasons to search out a site like ours but I'm glad you found us.  Also sorry that you've found yourself feeling isolated and I hope that AS (After Silence) can be a part of healing for you and that you'll feel like the members of AS are with you every step of the way.

Welcome to After Silence. I am sorry to hear of the trauma you have been through!

 

Being here has helped me so much. Everyone is so caring and supportive here. I am proud of you for reaching out. I know that is hard to do.
