New and apprehensive

Recommended Posts

Good morning!  I actually joined this forum a few days ago, but have been procrastinating writing anything until now.  Kind of a mix of being terrified to talk out loud about what happened, and happy to be somewhere where others will (hopefully) understand.  I'm a 47 year old woman who experienced SA at the hands of the man who I thought loved me about two years ago, and still struggling with it.

Hello Octopus and welcome to After Silence!

I'm sorry that you went through SA but I'm glad that you found this site and I hope you will feel comfortable to talk and that you will find understanding here from the members of After Silence.  It's okay to take things at your own pace and you can post as much or as little as you like with no obligation to do so.

I hope you will find everyone at After Silence supportive and helpful as you struggle with healing from what you experienced.

Welcome to AS! I'm glad you found your way here. I'm terribly sorry for what you've experienced. It was cruel and undeserved. You'll find a lot of support here...you're not alone. ❤️ Sending you well wishes and all the best on your healing journey!! ❤️

Hello & welcome to AS. I am so sorry that you experienced that. You are not alone here.

Please take your time to look around and read as you’re comfortable. I know when I first joined, I spent over a week just reading through posts.

Hi, Ticked off octopus.

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am so sorry someone you cared for betrayed your trust. It was wrong and so undeserved. I am glad you found us tho. AfterSilence is a supportive community with many understanding and kind people. You are not alone.

Reaching out is a strong thing to do, I hope you know this. Feel free to look around and when you are ready, share and interact where you like. We are here for you.

Wishing you many forward steps on this path we call healing.

Mary
