Hi. I'm a 40-something biological male. When I was 20, I was repeatedly sexually abused by a female. I don't know if there's a place here for me.

There's a post for people who want to share about female abusers or you can just make a post of your own. No special restrictions because you're AMAB or abused by a woman.

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am so sorry for the trauma you've experienced and the struggles you have faced. You have found a supportive community with many understanding and kind members. You are not alone. 

I know it can be difficult when society norms typically only think abuse as male against female (when they think of it at all). This is factually untrue. Abusers can be any gender and those abused can be any gender. I'm sorry you know this firsthand. What happened to you was wrong and completely undeserved. Please know you are accepted here in our little corner of the internet. 

Feel free to look around and interact with others in your own time. We are here for you. 

Wishing you many steps forward as you navigate this path we call healing.

I'm new to being non-binary - I only started coming out to my family last year - but I identified as cis-male when the abuse happened.

The most important thing I personally believe, is being the most comfortable in your own skin. I do hope your family was supportive in what you shared. It takes a lot of trust and courage for survivors to share anything personal with others. Support is something you not only deserve, but something you are entitled to.

May of the forums have brief descriptions of what type of posts you would like to post.

You might want to look at the Gathering Place and The Aftermath, as they are more of our primary forums allowing more varied topics of all types and receive the most amount of traffic. Basic difference between the two is the Gathering Place is typically a bit lighter than topics of The Aftermath.

I am sincerely sorry to hear, that someone would be so evil to you. Of course, we have a place for you here, all survivors fit in here! Feel free to look around a bit, and see if there's any forum you see fit. Most topics can be posted in the Gathering Place, so you can always start out there.
