Been Around. Seen A LOT, if not ALL. CSA Survivor, ages 8-9, 12 (the Worst) and again at 14. Hope to get to know you all soon! I Actually READ the rules - only 12 or so! No colored Text etc, GOTCHA! Have Coached MANY Friends along the way so far, ope I can help here too. BARDS were not Just Musicians/minstrels. We are Writers, Poets, players, Story Tellers, Keepers of Law and LORE, Settlers of Disputes, and (hopefully) Bringers of Wisdom! HEALING since age 43, in TOTAL SILENCE before that. Went Manic Depressive/BiPolar after the death of my AWESOME (((Geppetto))) DAD. Broke THE Silence to my Friends, Joined my first Survivor Site to Learn, Quickly ended up Teaching too... All the COPE We Learnt to Soldier ON in life. "Scar Tissue is STRONGER than Regular Tissue. Feel the STRENGTH, Move ON!" - Mr HENRY ROLLINS As a Kid and Beyond, I had a Morbid Fear of TOOTING my Own Trumpet, thought everything *I* did was Crap because *I* had Done it. Compliments made me CRINGE in Shyness and Embarrassment, while CRITICISM, however Kind and Constructive, was a DAGGER through my Heart, and made me CURSE Myself for Not Being BETTER! OUCH. TOOTING AWAY Now! Here is a SONG I wrote, and had Recorded by an Awesomely more Talented Musician and singer than I, my Pal JASON PARIS, who does a Big ELTON JOHN Show. Words AND Music by ME. It is JUST about Breaking The Silence, nothing UGLY or "Poor Me". It, along with two pieces of my Writing - one short and Inspirational, the other my Steven King HORROR STORY from age 12 - were used in a Survivor CONCERT/Event in Manchester UK. AND 2 sellouts at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, London's West End and Warsaw Poland, others too hopefully! Don't be put off by COUNTRY Version, it sounds more like George Harrison. That is so great that at age 43 you began healing, and amazing that you were able to use songwriting as a way to communicate your experience through music. 🎺 I'm also a songwriter and musician, and it makes me happy that you shared your work!
