Hello junmata and welcome to our community! I am Wanna :flowers:

Going to therapy is a wise choice. Once our memories kick in, we can use a professional to guide us through the turbulence of announcing our trauma. You deserve to be heard and believed, like all survivors. This site is a safe place to connect with fellow survivors, exchange support and advice. You decide how much to share and how often you come here, no expectations whatsoever.

You can talk about basically anything here, trauma related and non-trauma related. As you may have noticed in the forum's index, we have a wide span of different forums. I hope After Silence can be a helpline in your support system, and that having a community will offer the comfort you need. Other staff and I are here in case you'd need some extra assistance with the site or some support. We are just one PM away for questions or a chat. :notalone:

Please take good care of yourself,

W ☀️

Welcome to AS @juanmata. I'm glad you found your way here. I'm so sorry for what you experienced. It was not your fault, and you did nothing wrong. I'm glad you are in therapy now and seeking help. :) I wish you all the best on your healing journey.

Hi juanmata,

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry for what you went thru at the young age of 11. It was wrong and so undeserved. You have found a very supportive site with so many kind members. You are not alone.

It takes courage to acknowledge what happen and look for ways to help you heal. I do hope your T is very helpful and we will do our best to be with you as you walk this tricky and sometimes bumpy road we call healing.

Feel free to look around at your leisure and interact when you feel comfortable doing so. I wish you the very best as you continue to push forward on your healing journey.

Mary

Hii Guys,

Thanks again for your kind words. I honestly couldn.t be more grateful. All I needed was so warmth from people. My family unfortunately couldn't give me warmth and my friends couldnt't understand where I was coming from. They though child molesting isn't that bad but trust me;its one of the worst things to happen in a persons life.

Right now I am doing so well, and I thank god, my therapist and my hard work. Nothing triggers me now and I am anxiety free. I am not a survivor, I am a thriver.

I hope everyone going through something similar to me gets the support they need. I would say the key is therapy and facing your biggest fears. DONT BE SCARED.
