Hello! 

After 4 years Im finally ready to get help and support from others. I also finally realized that what happened was sexual assault. I for the longest time thought " he didn't get inside me so it must mean it's not sexual assault"

Hello and welcome to AS, @Lazy Duck!! I'm glad you found your way here.  I'm sorry for what you've been through, though. It was not your fault, and it was undeserved. It can take a long time sometimes to realize something was sexual assault...you're not alone in that. Took me around 20 years! Anyway, take your time exploring the site. You'll meet lots of friendly and supportive people. I wish you all the best on your healing journey!

I am very sorry for what you went thru 4 years ago. It was unfair and undeserved. Nobody has the right to hurt another like this. You have found a very supportive community with many understanding and kind members. You are not alone.

Terminology often gets people confused. Sexual assault is typically an umbrella term that includes all unconsented sexually based activities forced on one person, by another. There is a line and when any of these things happen...it's assault. I'm sorry you've experienced this.

It takes courage to reach out, so I commend you for doing so. You will find this a very understanding group of people who will support and encourage you on you path of healing.
