LittleWolf
Hi! I’m LittleWolf - which is a username I’ve never gone by before, so I don’t quite know what shortened versions will come from it yet. (It’ll be a surprise!) I use she/her pronouns. I’m a lesbian who is recovering from CSA and intimate partner violence. Until a few days ago, I had never told anyone about what happened to me. I told a trusted mentor in my life, who promptly started looking for free and accessible resources for survivors, and forwarded me the link to this website. It’s still hard to believe I belong here, to believe my own story - but I know I want to be in a better place than I am now. I am uninsured and low income, though I have accessed the free counseling offered by my university (until it ran out.) The main reason I’m making this post is that I was hoping to access the LGBT+ and women’s sections of the forum. I saw in the FAQ and such that I could reach out and ask, so,,, reaching out! Asking! Hurray! Some fun facts: this summer I’m doing genomics research through a university program! This will be the first summer I ever spend away from my family. (I am excited!) I love animals and genetics and basically all of biology, I’m an artist (I drew my profile picture really quickly for this website - shouldn’t be identifiable to me), I like to play video games, I’m autistic, my special interests are genetics and wolves (surprise surprise)… If you’ve read this far - thanks! I look forward to getting to know you. Link to post

Finchy
Welcome to AS, @LittleWolf! I'm glad you found your way here. I love your profile pic. Very cute! Is that a fursona of yourself? You're an incredible artist! I love video games, too. What games do you play? Anyhoo, welcome again. I'm sorry for what's brought you here. It was undeserved and not your fault...but you can heal. You've reached out, which is very hard to do. I'm proud of you. I can send you the password for the women's forum. The LGBTQIA+ forum doesn't require a password, so you can post there any time. Best wishes, sending you lots of support. ❤️ -Finch Link to post

Looking forward to getting to know you as well. Again, welcome!!! Best wishes, - Capulet Link to post
SociallyAwkward
Cool. An introduction and a formal request to access a specific section. Look like your adjusting well. therapy is only good is you have a good therapist, and even then most of the real work comes from inside you. This is the right place to be to work on yourself. I look forward to getting to know you. Hello and welcome here! Hm... nicknames... I think Wolfy would be an obvious choice, or maybe Lilwolf, has some pop culture to it. You can pick your own nickname if you want. I go by Wanna myself You seem to be a creative soul, your profile pick is really cool. We have a Healing Through Creativity forum you might like, and our Humor and Silliness forum is very crafty. I am sorry you have limited options to get help. I am lucky I live in a country that offers tax payed health care, even if it has severe lacking it's better than nothing. RAINN is an option in crisis. I understand that this can be hard to grasp, the fact that you are a survivor. Finding acceptance can take time, but what matters is that you're navigating towards healing. It can be a bumpy road, but we are here for you! This is a safe place to connect with fellow survivors, exchange stories (in the amount you want) and feel less alone. Oooh, a biology student! I am actually a biology bachelor drop out. 😝 Please let me know, if I can be at any help. Just throw a PM any time! All best, W ☀️ Edited May 26, 2022 by WannaMoveOn Link to post
