Hi there!

My name is Karleigh and you all can guess why i'm here! I was hoping to get some support through a community of people who have unfortunately gone through something similar to me. I do not have access to my therapist at all times and thought this would be a good place to vent when needed. Im currently a student in college studying to be speech pathologist but i think i may change my major to special education. My interests are photography and editing photos through either photoshop or Lightroom. Hoping to make some friends through this that can relate to what i have gone through! Thank you all for your time! :)

Hi Karleigh,

Welcome to AfterSilence. I am very sorry that you have experienced trauma, but you are in the right place to find tons of support. It is so unfortunate that any of us have been hurt, you are so right, but having others who really understand does make a difference. Whichever major you decide, it sounds as you will be in a field to help others. That is such a wonderful thing.

Feel free to look around the site and jump in when you are ready and comfortable. Wishing you nothing but the best as you navigate this path we call healing.

Mary
