Hello everyone, my name's Miss Owlish, and I've come here looking for support.  My incendents happened years ago, but are just now resurfacing in my mind.  I'm convinced the universe has it out for me in some way...

That aside, though, I am looking forward to being a part of this community!  Although I am just now posting, I have been reading, and I must say that this looks like a wonderful place to be.

Hello Owlish, welcome to AS. I am sorry incendents that happened years ago, it is normal for things to resurface, sometimes it can be triggered by something we are not where off or our minds thinks it is safe time to, whatever the reason it is hard. This is a very good community, we are here to support you.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for the trauma that you have endured and the resurfacing pain. Nobody has the right to hurt another like this. You have found a very supportive community with many kind and understanding members. Reading other posts is a good way to become comfortable. You are able to see that you share similar struggles and know you are not alone. I wish you the best as you continue on your healing journey.

Welcome to AS.  I am sorry it seems like the universe has it out for you.   Abuse, no matter when it happened is really hard to deal with sometimes.   You aren't alone.  There is someone here that can identify with what you have experienced.

Thank you, everyone.  I am actually surprised at how many responses this has gotten so quickly!  It is truly great to know that there are other people in this world that are out there, lending their time and experiences to help others.
