Wonder Woman
Hi, I am new here. My incident happened mid June. I am still trying the legal route against my perpetrator. I am also looking for different ways to be safe and to heal. I am doing an Impact Krav Maga self defense course and EMDR therapy. However, I am still dealing with a widespread anxiety, depression, and various body pains and am looking for help with healing myself and for support while I am still dealing with police and courts. I will have to see my perpetrator in court soon. The wound stays open. I gave myself the name "Wonder Woman", because I am working on saving myself and Wonder Woman stands for truth and justice. There is a hero in all of us. Everyone who lived through this and is here, is a hero I think Thank you all for being here and hopefully I will also have some support to give to others as well. Magda/Wonder Woman Hi Magda/Wonder Woman, Welcome to AS. I am so sorry for what happened to you in June. It was wrong and you did not deserve to be hurt so. You have found a very supportive site with many understanding members. You are Wonder Woman. You are doing what many survivors are unable or unready for: to prosecute. I hope all goes well, as he deserves to have justice served upon him. We will stand with you and support you, as you do so. Many big steps you have already taken, I wish you well as you take many more. Mary Link to post

Hawkgirl
Hi Wonder Woman! Nice to have a fellow Justice League member onboard . Hopefully you can get to Themyscira soon. I am sorry that you have experienced trauma too. There are some who have experienced trauma and have gone through the courts. Healing can be a challenge but it is totally worth it. The anxiety is normal as is the depression. So much has changed and one wants nothing more than for things to go back to the way they were. I know from my own experience that going back to normal isn't possible. There is a period of time where mourning takes place as if someone is lost because the innocence is gone. Nothing you did caused it, and the other person is at fault. Yet the aftermath is what has to be dealt with. I think if it as like dropping a cluster bomb on a person. It's devastating and sometimes rushing healing is tempting. Hang in there. Link to post
