I'm new to this site. I only joined to appease some of my loved ones who thought I should open up about what happened to me. I hope this also gives me some relief also. Hope to get to know some of the people here.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry you experienced trauma, but know you have found a very supportive site. The members here are kind and understanding. I'm glad you found your way here, if it was only to appease people who care for you. You might be surprised how much relating with others who have gone thru similar things can help. We are here for you. I wish you well as you travel down your healing path.

I have been reading some of the experiences of others. When I am rational, I feel like I could offer practical advice. However, I'm too much of a mess overall and don't feel as if I have any real authority when it comes to helping others out when I can't even make sense of what's going on in my own life. I'm afraid of causing harm to others on this site by mistake.
