Hello All

I am glad to find this place. Although I do not know how it will help me I am very hopeful that i would find some friends who would listen to me unbiased. Even while writing this I cannot stop tears. This has never happened, all these tears don't know where they are coming from. I think there is a dam and it could break. I have been looking for people who understand my pain. I am glad to find this forum.  Can someone tell me why I am not allowed to access the chat room? I just joined today. God bless.

Welcome to AS!! Reading your post brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad that you have found us and I hope that AS is all that you need. Know that there are so many people here who care and we will all support you. I have to look at chat but I think there is a post limit to gain access. Not sure if that is true, I can look though. Just to follow up yes there is a ten post minimum to access chat. Hope this helps.

Hi Gary, I am glad you found this site. I am sorry for the  trauma you went through. I understand about the tears, when I was able to cry I use to be  afraid they would never stop. You have found a safe place and you are not alone.

Wishin has answered your question about the chat room, you need 10 post to enter, you also need 10 post to enter share your story. It doesn't take long to have 10 post. If you have any questions you can contact me by pm or anyone else will be happy to answer your questions

Hello Gary. Welcome to AS! It is my wish that you find this site as helpful and healing as I have in my own healing journey.

You've taken a huge step in reaching out. This is a big step in healing from abuse of any kind. Take all the time you need to share. Feel free to share as little or as much as you would like to. Some people find it better or easier for them if they "transition" into the forums by doing things such as: not typing right away but rather just reading other user's threads/topics and/or replying to them, or by just reading threads and seeing what we've got to offer, but then again others like to just jump right in and share their story. That is what is great about this place, it's all up to you and you make the calls. Many of us have had our control and rights taken from us, here YOU ARE IN CONTROL. 

Know that you are not alone.

Also, crying is very cleansing  it's okay to cry

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for the trauma that you have suffered, but you have found a very supportive site. The members here are kind and understanding. It's not easy to reach out to others, so realize what a big step you took. I find that sometimes the tears we cry are from what we have held in. Releasing them is the beginning of letting some of the pain out...cleansing, just as Chantel said. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me. We are here for you.
