Hi everyone, I'm Joy from Australia (now living in Canada)

As a lifetime victim of sexual harassment and assault, there is nowhere better to be than amongst others who understand and support one another and it is a pleasure to be here and meet you all.

In my efforts to help myself and hopefully others to find their voice, I wrote a book about my life and shared with the world all the sexual crimes committed against me. It was a colossal effort, both emotionally, mentally and physically but I am proud of what I did. I am not here to promote my book, but rather merely an introduction to who I am, where I have come from, where I am today and how I am helping myself to heal.

It is wonderful to have such terrific support here.

Welcome to AS. I am very sorry for all the trauma that you have suffered. AS is a very supportive site with many kind and understanding people. It is wonderful that you have found an outlet for the pain you have gone thru. Sometimes the hardest things help the most, doesn't it? I wish you continued success on your healing journey.

welcome.. I'm sorry that you have a reason to be here, but it is nice to have support.. don't have it anywhere else.. what was it like to write it in a book, I was told to do so, but don't have the strength to do so.. I don't know if that makes any sense what so ever.. Sorry..
