  1. Welcome @blacklotus I hope you find like I do that getting support from others who truly understand, because they've lived it, is so helpful and reassuring. Compounded trauma and childhood sexual assault are so devastating and so much to heal from, through no fault of our own, and it's truly unfair. Good for you for taking a step back and taking care of yourself; the burnout is so real. It takes courage to know you need change and then actually make those changes. You're brave to reach out and I'm proud of you! Sending you lots of support and encouragement. All the best, J
  2. Welcome @DJ01 💜 I'm glad you're finding the community helpful so far. It's such a great step to connect with other survivors. I think Wanna covered it perfectly. You could post in Share your Story, after making 10 posts, or you can post in The Aftermath, which is here: https://www.aftersilence.org/forum/index.php?/forum/30-the-aftermath/ But there's really no wrong place to post! A moderator will usually move a lost post to a suitable forum if need be. Feel free to direct message me or other newbie support team any more questions you have, or just post them here! On

  4. Welcome again @Princessz! That is very cool that you're a gardener. One of my dreams is to have a garden someday. 💫 I think I'm new since you were on here last; it's nice to meet you. I'm sure you already know, but feel free to vent or reach out for support on here anytime.

  9. Welcome, @Flowerheal I'm sorry for what you've gone through and are dealing with still. I admire that you're advocating for yourself in court. It sounds like you are so strong and resilient, although nothing you have dealt with and experienced with is fair. I hope you feel positive connection and healing in the community here! Happy to have you around 💫 Jay
  10. Welcome @Nounecia! I'm so sorry for the extremely difficult time you are going through. We are all here for you. 💜
  11. Hi @TonicTheBARD, welcome to AS! Thanks for sharing about your experiences and your own healing process. That is so great that at age 43 you began healing, and amazing that you were able to use songwriting as a way to communicate your experience through music. 🎺 I'm also a songwriter and musician, and it makes me happy that you shared your work! I hope you find the AS forums to be a good community for solidarity and healing! 12. @Tbone Good for you, I'm so sorry for what you've been through. Nice job deciding that you want to confront the person who assaulted you. People should have to face their own harmful actions. Sitting in solidarity with you 💫
