Hi, I just joined over the weekend. My incident happened two years ago this June, a month into dating the monster who was also very emotionally/verbally abusive. I thought for a long time if I just pretended it never happened I would be just fine, but I eventually realized that I have not been okay at all and started going to therapy a month ago. It is helping but it also feels like opening an old wound. I'm happy to have found this place because I have felt alone for so long.
