  1. I think with things like this, even though therapists and friends are understanding and helpful, the only people who will ever fully understand is people who have been there too. So hope this helps you

    Hello

Hi, I understand what it feels like to be lonely even when you have good people in your life, I feel that way a lot too. I love animals too and am going into a career working with them, I find being around them very therapeutic. Hope you feel a bit less lonely knowing you're not the only one feeling that way
  3. Hi, im new too, hope you get some help to deal with what you went through, and I know it's hard but try remind yourself that it's all in the past now.
  4. I'm studying too, and have a hard time concentrating due to mental illness, the best way I've found to get things done is one small piece at a time, giving myself lots of breaks and remembering my goals and what I'm aiming for with my studies
  5. Hi, I'm new too, hope you get some help and support here

    Hi

Just posting on here and admitting this happened to you is a start, maybe you could share a small bit at a time, just what you feel ok about, instead of tackling everything all at once?
  7. Hi, I also often have dreams that reveal memories of abuse from my childhood I had no recollection of before, the brain can be very good at protecting us from those things but I still always had the feeling of something having been wrong too. Hope you and your sister can process everything and start to feel better soon

    Hi.

Hi. I think when something so significant and difficult to process happens to you, five years or any amount of time can feel a lot shorter in your mind. Certain triggers can still make me remember things from my childhood as though they happened yesterday. So I understand how you can still feel conflicted and hope you're able to find some help here

    New Here

Hi, just found and joined the site as I wanted to talk about my experience but don't really feel safe to talk to anyone in my life about it right now, so hoping this will help
