  1. thank you onewoman and silentg xx
  2. thank you, sister in survival. i think you're right about the anxiety thing.. i have only been active on AS for a few days, but it has been a very light few days. i can't really explain my lift in spirits since visiting this community. i hate that there are so many people here dealing with awful things but i find comfort in knowing that others are here to show and receive support. take care, katie
  3. I'm ok with telling my story on this site. But I can't bring myself to say how it makes me feel. A friend pointed out to me that nothing is ever emotional with me anymore. Especially when I talk about boys. It's always what he did or said, but never what Im feeling. I think my desensitizing is another side effect of what has happened.
  4. Hi hurt1979, I am in your position as well -- been a member since March but didn't post here until June. I had been struggling with events that happened to me awhile back but when another situation occurred in early March, I sought out online support. I finally came across AS and joined mostly because I had exhausted any other outlet I had (can't/won't talk to friends, don't have a therapist, etc.) and although I have only posted a few times, it is a liberating feeling. I hope you find solace here!
  5. thank you for your responses. this was my first post on here and since then i have been enjoying the support of this site. i have made a few posts since this one and it really does feel better to share bits of my story. i just wanted to share that i was on vacation last week and as vacations always are, it was a very relaxing break with two of my best friends. but not only was it physically relaxing, it was mentally relaxing. when i returned home and fell into a normal routine yesterday, i realized that it was the first day all week that the events of my past had crossed my mind. i couldn't he
  6. ....that i dont think about it. its been two and a half years. for the first year and a half i refused to admit that what happened was actually what happened. i dont talk about my feelings good or bad usually so just typing this makes me feel sort of childish and pathetic. but i need to put my thoughts somewhere. ive never been good at keeping a diary. but sometimes i feel like i just need to write things down. id say dealing with it has gotten easier in that my hurting has become dull, but to say that it affects my relationships with others would be a monumental understatement.
