Hi is it alrite if i message you about snes games? The snes was a vital survival tool for me when growing up. Games onscreen with controller were safer for me. No pressure if not.
-
@Panther you absolutely can! I might not always respond promptly but I'll make my best effort. I play them when I need comfort too and have done so since childhood

hi, i love snes games and steven universe too. sorry to hear about your mother. that dynamic sounds like a nightmare and i dont blame you for wishing she would just disappear. its not cruelty, its exhaustion.

Thank you so, so much Panther, what a sweet message to log in to. Most of my family doesn't see that side of my mom, she's just a sweetheart who has it rough to them, would never hurt a fly. Behind closed doors she would abuse me verbally and emotionally and justify hitting me by calling me a brat, even into adulthood. Then realizing she left me behind when I was trying to tell her I was being sexually harassed broke me a little. I appreciate you taking the time to come here to express your empathy with me, it's genuinely so validating.

I'll be taking a slight break from here, only logging in twice a week. I've become a bit obsessive over and overly attached to this place. Love ya'll.

Hi, i saw that you were a mother. Would i be able to ask you for some advice?
-
Okay Home Alone is a hella more frightening as an adult woman.

The more I see you post the more I'm reminded of Chanel Miller and want you to meet her.
Her memoir has been a major source of healing for me, as has been this community. The publicity and news articles make it feel so emotionless and impersonal. I couldn't pay attention to the news articles, especially since her assailant is from my hometown (technically, I've lived here ten years which is the longest I've lived in one state).

@wolfennights That is quite a compliment. Thank you so much. I want to read her memoir when I can.
